From a unix command line, how do you compile and run a lisp program with clisp?

I'm just getting started with lisp and have a file - test.lsp which I want to compile and run with clisp.

It appears that you do the following: (I can't verify - I'm not on a *nix system at the moment. I'm downloading clisp for OSX right now to try it out for you.)

Type the following at the command line:

$ clisp test.lsp -o testoutput

I'll report back later with a more definitive answer. :-)
