Freenapkin.com -- Write a Guide Note about this site, make five bucks! :-)

My last request to write a "Mahalo Style" guide note went so well I'm going to try one more time. This time I'd like a guide note about FreeNapkin.com.

You can use our Juicy Campus and YouTube pages as a template:
http://www.mahalo.com/Juicy_Campus
http://www.mahalo.com/Youtube

Rules:

1. No cutting and pasting.
2. At least 300-500 original words.
3. Must include an Introduction, Fast Facts, and one or two short sections (like the ones on
4. Must be well written (no typos or spelling errors).
5. I will pay up to two people M$5

Most important thing: NO CUTTING AND PASTING! NO PLAGIARISM!!

Here are screen shots of the YouTube and Juicy Campus pages.

Freenapkin.com is a website setup for anyone in the U.S. who want to get merchandise off their hands for whatever reason. A person who is willing to give an item away for free, posts a photo and description of the item under the state he or she lives in. It is completely free for anyone to register, and do this. It's also for people looking to acquire this very same free merchandise. One of the differences between it, and any other site offering a similar service, is that there is a feedback system within freenapkin.com, in order for users to grow a positive reputation as a donator/claimer. This is achieved by following through on giving away items in the same way the item was depicted on the site. The feedback is ultimately based on how responsible both the donator and claimer are, in executing on the action in which they volunteered themselves to do, and doing it in good integrity. The home page is also focused in providing this service alone. For out of state giveaways, the claimer is responsible for shipping, if necessary.

FAST FACTS
* Is an affiliate AD site, showcasing merchandise that people want to give away.
* Owned by Trey Woods of Anoka, MN
* Started on February 22th, 2008
* Features a page called "ithinkauction" for selling ideas
* Average total(nationwide) items available at any given time: 366
* Prohibits the potential resale of item by "claimers" on ebay.
* Has recently reached a significant height in popularity.
* Has a search ranking of 2 million+

REFRESHING GESTURE ANYONE?
One thing I could say about freenapikin.com is it's a "sea" of high-end thrift; a closet of valuable junk, so-to-speak, with a refreshing twist of appreciation. A destination for low-expectation merchandise, to be showcased among thoughtfully thrifty hunters, and thoughtful donators, in all it's potentially broken, fading, or resurrected glory. Hoarders and non-hoarders alike, can act in this "possession recycling spirit", and giveaway their beloved junk to the right hands with no expectations of payment. In turn, if a item seeker feels an item is too good to not throw down an attempt to reserve it, he or she may seemingly do so, by letting the cordial owner of the junk with an offering in the form of a bid, but apparently, not, because everything's free. Claim quickly, claimer!

DISCIPLINED DESIGN
The template offered at this "cyber-bay of relics" can be quickly received by the eye, and prospected by the desires of the thrifty, or "temporarily desperate." Featured on the left-side column of the home page is a list of all the states for a quick link for treasures in your local. The color scheme here, is easy on the eyes, and simply contrasted in a way that easily attracts your attention to the ornamental, main body of showcased and bejeweled feature-items. The well contrasted photos are clearly dwelling within the equally divided item boxes, giving an variably enticing feel of junk-desire, with just a twist of old school glamor surrounding it. It exemplifies the kind of array of valuable junk you would expect to find from people who instill genuine worth in their "out-dated gems." This showcase is an exemplification of the stock of superb junk available throughout the our country, starting($) at- FREE, and only at Freenapkin.com.

I wanted to edit it for the major grammar/syntax error I committed and some how, didn't catch on that "Gesture" paragraph, but it was too late.

Freenapkin.com provides a free auction venue for donating stuff, whether it may be used products and merchandise to old toys and games. The old adage remains as one person's trash can be another's treasure. Visitors are presented with a long listing of auction categories displaying the fifty-states with the amount of items listed next to each state. By clicking on a state you can see items listed in the featured picture gallery.

The site is similar to online bartering sites (ie. Craigslist, Oodle, etc.) where users can create a profile and trade items with other users, yet with Free Napkin no trade is necessary, as everything is given away at will. Visitors can view all auction items, featured auctions, a picture gallery, new auction items, closed auction items, donate an item, and view a users store.

Fast Facts:
1. Founder: Trey Woodson
2. Domain was registered on February 22nd, 2008.
3. There are no restrictions to the amount of items one can claim.
4. Items are provided on a "first come first serve" basis with a feedback system.
5. Freenapkin.com prohibits those who claim items to sell on eBay.
6. It is the claimer's responsibility to pay for shipping or delivery
7. Currently only available in the United States
8. Freenapkin is out of Anoka, Minnesota
9. Site is free for registered users.
10. Site generates revenue through advertising.

How it Works:

Both those looking to claim or donate an item first must register on the site before being able to make a transaction through the site. Users can list a donated item with a picture and an item description. After the item is listed, it will be categorized by the state location the donator is from. Registered users who are looking to claim free items can do so, and provide positive feedback when the item is received. Upon claiming the item, the donator will receive an email that item has been claimed. Both the donator and the user claiming the item can then contact each other to arrange for a pickup or shipment of the item.

Features:

Those donating items on the site can upload one photograph for each item donated, and this photo will be hosted by the site. The site also allows users to provide feedback to those after a transaction has been completed. Visitors can view all featured items, view featured picture gallery, view all new auction items, and view all closed auction items in the past 70 days.
