Does the "i" in iPod and other Apple products stand for anything? If so, what does it stand for?

The iMac was the first to use the nomenclature, and was pushed as the ideal computer to get on the internet.

While it wasn't directly associated with "internet", that was the general theme behind the name, I think.

The first time the "i" was used was on the Apple iMac. At that time, the big selling point of the iMac was how easy it was to get on the internet, so at first the "i" stood for "internet," but as time passed it became more of an identifying mark for Apple products.

Depending on what they can use it for, the "i" stands for internet (the original meaning of the i, as in the iMac), individual, inspiring, ...
Whatever you can think of :-)
