Does Hulu threaten cable TV? Do both companies compete for customers in the same market sector?

Will Comcast pay Hulu to carry their programming?

It definitely threatens cable. I think that's why we're starting to hear more about bandwidth caps on cable services.

If I subscribe to Time Warner Cable, and all my favorite shows are on broadcast networks, FX, Comedy Central and other networks whose shows are on Hulu, what's the point of subscribing to TV if I could just see them whenever I want on the internet? Instead of subscribing to $60+ TV service and $50+ internet service, I could cut my bill in half by just getting internet. And even if I missed some of my shows on Hulu, I could still get many more on iTunes, and still pay less than I would for cable TV.
