Does anyone know the best way to convert m4a files to mp3 w/out making them HUGE files? (looking for program that won't destroy comp either)

I can definately use iTunes for that. iTunes is on both Operating systems, but theres also this page

iTunes will convert your m4a files. You can adjust the import settings to create an acceptable file size.
