Does anyone know on that seemingly pointless friendfeed thingy if you can add something like a blog can you only let some of your frds see?

On Friendfeed, you can set your feed as Private, and only allow approved readers. So set up a second account for those purposes, make it private.

You can also create a GROUP, and make that private, while leaving your regular FF public. You invite and approve member of that private group.
