You can also create a GROUP, and make that private, while leaving your regular FF public. You invite and approve member of that private group.

Does anyone know on that seemingly pointless friendfeed thingy if you can add something like a blog can you only let some of your frds see?

On Friendfeed, you can set your feed as Private, and only allow approved readers. So set up a second account for those purposes, make it private. You can also create a GROUP, and make that private, while leaving your regular FF public. You invite and approve member of that private group.
