I am not a professional photographer. What kind of tips are you looking for, specifically?
I use SmugMug Pro for my own pictures. Pretty much unlimited storage, including private galleries, password protection, and assistant login (upload+organize, no deletion).
It's $149/year, but they maintain redundant copies of the data (including using Amazon's cloud for storage) and host the site. You can customize the logo, look, feel, pricing, ability for customers to download, etc.
