I used it for a while. I lost touch when I found other services. I really wanted to use Briefcase, but then Yahoo! never developed new stuff for it. There was no way for me to seamlessly add new files, and sync with multiple machines, etc etc. And Yahoo/Google Mail started filling the gap.
Couple weeks ago I finally took final back up from all that, and bid a farewell. I wish Yahoo! had developed it all AJAX/Yahoo! Mail style. I'd still get behind that webapp if Yahoo! paid serious attention.
So, anyways; to answer your question, YES. I'll miss having it. Now I have to move those things around different services and remember different username/passwords and what not.

If it says "Yahoo", it's poison in my world. Pity, too. I used myYahoo as my home page for years.

I used Yahoo Briefcase as my online storage and backup and it was really handy and served my needs as I only upload mostly small pdfs and word documents.
Over the years Yahoo's services just didn't improve a lot while other services ramped up significantly. My yahoo email inbox is now peppered with spam and briefcase never really increased their storage capacity.
I stopped using it around 2003.
Microsoft's Live services offer a 25GB online storage called SkyDrive. Google is rumored to release GDrive. Dropbox and Live Mesh / Live Sync is great for synchronizing files across multiple computers over the internet.

I bailed on all things Yahoo when my account was hijacked last autumn. The customer service is abominable. After months of being ignored, I've received form letter after form letter. During this, a friend of mine had her account compromised as well, same treatment. If it says "Yahoo", it's poison in my world. Pity, too. I used myYahoo as my home page for years.

Back in the late 90s, when the internet was still young. Everyone either had a hotmail account or a yahoo account. I had both.

There a couple of new kids on the curb as well. ADrive, DropBoks (yea, that innovative!), Storegate, and ElephantDrive. I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple more, but to me they really aren't the major players. From all the ones I've used, I have liked SkyDrive, Dropbox, and Box.net.
The only reason I haven't switched to SkyDrive is that there is no easy/quick way to have it available on hard-drive as well when I'm offline (like dropbox). And the only reason I want to switch away from dropbox is storage space. SkyDrive provides more than Dropbox :)
