I've used it, but not enough to find it useful. I don't find it that useful in the way that it answers the questions I really need to be answered, or for ones that need to be answered on Mahalo Answers. I don't understand why it doesn't answer certain questions. Like, I can't ask it, "what is the population of birds in Ohio" or something like that and get a straight answer.

I think I just have to figure what kinds of inquiries to use it for, and then I will.

I haven't really figured out the best use for it yet. I've tried several times and not gotten a single result--it says it doesn't know what to do with my inquiries. I've learned to Google too well, I guess. I think I just have to figure what kinds of inquiries to use it for, and then I will.

Alpha has formula support, graphics, and equation parsing.
People: input Bush, Reagan and you get a comparison of a few events. What would be interesting is a comparison of all policy events between the two Presidents.
I think Alpha could find a niche by comparing products. For example, Input : Crest, Colgate and have Alpha do an attribute comparison and show attributes of advantage.

For example, input: Boise, Phoenix, Salt Lake The cross comparison of information is population and distances. Hundreds of additional intersecting attributes could be compared. Alpha needs a 100 times the information attributes and then it will have a wow factor. Right now the attributes are commonly and easily found through various websites.
Alpha does allow introspective questions to a limited degree.
Alpha does not support full sentences, at this time. Hopefully, Wolfram will see the value of semantic networks and question support.
The comparison is within the same class cells. If you try cardinal and ohio, the search engine looks for a location called cardinal. The search engine recognizes Ohio as a geographic word and assumes cardinal is a location rather than a bird.
