Do you think the leaked Twitter Lists will mean the end of Twitter?
Why or why not? Take a look at http://www.mahalo.com/twitter-lists and tell me if you think they can pull something like that off, when their system is already over capacity regularly? Am I missing something there? Will Twitter just give its last tweet and crash and burn when this goes online? I sure hope not, but what do you see?

No! Twitter lists may very well SAVE twitter. There's a division of influence occurring on twitter. Celebrities with millions of users are drowning out the common people which usually have something much important to say. These lists allow users to get recognized and build up followings!
As far technically, lists shouldn't provide much more of a load on twitter. Essentially the live stream will be filtered down to a group of people which will results in lower loads. Twitter tends to get bogged down by people posting, not viewing the latter of which lists pertain to.

Glad to hear it!
Until they rearchitech the database backend, lists will significantly slow twitter down. Like follow did on that roll out
