Yes, this card should work in the PSP 3000, and it works with the PRO Duo, so make sure the PRO is there. It can take up to 16 GB, so this card would definitely be worth it if you save a lot of information, yet if you would like to get a smaller card such as 4 GB, it won't save as much, but you can save a few bucks on the card. Shop around a bit, as I'm sure you can find a few good deals on one. If you want to buy a used one, I have an extra 4 GB one.

You need a memory card to save games and the PSP only takes the memory stick PRO duo. 4gb is a good size for most people, it will hold all the game save data you need and still have plenty of room for music/videos. Buy the size thats right for you but your best off staying between 2 & 8 gb. Shop around for a good price.
