I shouldn't comment on the detailed stuff as I'm certainly no expert, but if folks out there want basic background info on the current state of robotics, Robots.net seems to be a good community to hook up with, and DMOZ has a good listing of specific robots getting press out there and what they're capable of...

That other stuff is way over my head, but makes me wanna find out more!
