Asking for proof is not really fair, as folks can only have this information if the are insiders and giving you a copy could be spying/illegal (ouch!).
That being said, there might be some numbers in public documents or available by looking at the total staff size (7,000 in AOL's case) and backing out how many are in customer support, programing, etc. on a % basis.
My *guess* based on size of organizations would be 5-10% of AOL and Google's size. So, 350-700 at AOL and 1,000-2,000 at Google. That would be actual sales people, not sales support.
Another way to look at this would be total revenue and revenue per sales person. You might be able to calculate that at AOL, a display show, the sales folks would do 1-2m each and at Google the sales folks would do 2-4m each.... or something like that.
Gorilla Nation is smaller, so perhaps 100.
These are all educated guesses.

In Yahoos case, according to Hoovers,A Marketing and Research Firm yahoo had 14,300 employees as at the end of the 2007 fiscal year in December.Assuming the industry wide average is 20% of the staff being in Sales then that translates to approximately 2860 sales reps for Yahoo. In AOL's Case They have A Corporate website and a blog, where I think your answer would be best served.I hope you find this information helpful.

You're right about requiring 'proof', I was looking for any references in articles or credible blogs if possible -- but not required for payment. I was unable to figure out how to edit the question once I posted it as well.

A site that seems to offer very believable information and breakdowns per each company is jigsaw dot com, they are a market intelligence company, they collect and disseminate market information. They tag their information with alexa dot com so I reckon their information must be quite solid to be used by a reputable company like alexa.
For Google they gave a sales reps figure of 141.
For AOL the sales reps figure was 12
For Facebook the figure was listed as 12
Note they say they compiled this figures as a function of the number of contacts they have aggregated which seems to be only ten percent of the total number of employees at each company. So we could derive an approximate number per company by using simple percentages. It might not be that helpful but at least it provides a general direction on how to go about it.
