For DVD copying, I would use DVDShrink, because with it, you can back up your dvd's, but you can also remove parts. What if you don't like menus and think that they are a waste of time? You can remove that. Here's a link to a download of DVDShrink.

It produces an ISO image, which you can use with most DVD burning software to burn the disk.
