Are Multi-Function devices not as good as single function devices. (i.e. iPhone vs separate phone, camera, and netbook)??

Like, when all in one printer/scanner/fax/copiers 1st came out, everyone was saying that a multi-function does do everything, but just average or below.

Depends. Would you carry a pager and a cell phone - I think not. An iPhone is one of the best mp3 players out there, but isn't the best gps.

For some an iPhone gps will be good enough - others not.

Good luck deciding.
