1. Try to clean it with some water and soap. If that doesn't work,
2. Try to read it in several PC's and if one works fine, use it to copy it to a new blank DVD. You then have a fresh, clean DVD.
2. If you don't have DVD copying SW or don't manage to read it, you can see if there are too many scratches on the surface and try to polish them away. Following page mentions products for cell phone screens, but this should work for DVD's too: polishing products for phones and maybe DVD's too
