I've tried Ad Sense and it was okay. Here are some ideas that worked the best for me:
* Post links to your blog on Twittter.
* Try looking on Mahalo or on forums for people that are looking for the information that your blog provides. Give them some information about what they what to know and the link to your blog.
* Print out business cards with the link to your blog and what its about. Hand these out whenever you tell someone about your site and/or post them in supermarket bulletin boards.
* Email your friends and family. Include the link to your blog in your signature. If you send them something funny, they may pass it on to someone else.
