People keep saying the 3GS, but we pretty much knew it was coming - http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/07/iphone-3gs-apples-codename-for-tomorrows-unveiling/

I am most surprised by Snow Leopard only being $30 for an upgrade. That's AWESOME!

Probably the iPhone 3GS coming out, the iPhone 3GS has many new features like a video camera and double the speed. The original iPhone 3G was announced to come down in price to $99 as well.

I think the 13" macbook being converted to a macbook pro is the biggest news. New phones come out all the time, but it isn't too often that a major change in the portable line up comes about. It will have long term affects that the iphone 3GS will not have (because it will undoubtedly be replaced next year).

We now have 2 MBP models without dedicated video cards, and an entire lineup with non-removable batteries. The 13" becoming a MBP also makes the chance of a 12" MBP that much less likely, which will disappoint the many 12" powerbook users that have been waiting for years for a 12" MBP.

The lower prices of the MBPs is also more significant than the iphone 3GS because it will be much harder for Apple to raise the prices in the future. This means that future products will have to fit into the new price points for the time being and that might come at the cost of quality and service rather than Apple's profit margins.
