What is the best hotel to stay at for TechCrunch50?

Where will everyone else who is coming into town for the event be staying?

Is there one hotel where everyone in for the event will book first? Maybe the W or something closer?

Here is where the event will be located:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

It looks like they have used hotel Nikko in the past and have secured a limited block of rooms for the conference with them. The rate last year was listed at $209. It's a little higher this year with a total cost of $456 for the two nights you'd stay there. (from quick search)
https://reservations.synxis.com/lbe/rez.aspx?hotel=481&chain=481&arrive=9%2f14%2f2009&depart=9%2f16%2f2009

But you have to remember that this is where all the other people will most likely be staying.

I checked with the Hilton and they are already booked for those two days.
Parc55 hotel is sold out just on that Monday the 14th of September.

I would try the Nikko first, and if that turns out to be a bust, I would try the much smaller B&B type hotels that are all over downtown.

(send me a postcard...eh?)

Great! I like the Hotel Nikko... I've stayed there before and had a great experience.

Doesn't look like the promo code is working, but it looks like there is availability so I'll book without it just to be sure I don't get hosed.

If the promo code isn't working, just get on the phone with them... they have such a stellar CS, I'm sure they'll push the code through, at least let them know that you're there for the Techcrunch50, they might have a different code to use!
