Since 1998 has clear-cutting stopped in the province of British Columbia? If so, what renewable resources man

- 1998 Macmillan Bloedel decided to no longer-clear cut B.C's old growth forests after large protests. Internet sites are unclear as to their actual success in this area.

- 1999 "macblo" was sold to Weyerhaeuser a US company apparently responsible for wide spread clear-cutting world wide.

- I cannot find a lot more about the issues after this point.

I have no doubt that clearcutting is still in practice in BC. "Clear-cutting" is just a harsh way of saying "cutting down trees" is it not, BC is certainly still cutting down trees. You don't have to go far to find the evidence even if its not published, just be big brother and check out Google Maps.

Here is near Kamloops.

In the sources I've linked to several recent forestry Laws and articles that you can read through, should be plenty of information regarding the tree cutting business in BC

True. Clear-cutting is cutting down all the trees in a given stand. I am trying to find information and images to use in class. Surprisingly, I had not considered using Google earth or other similar sites.

Thank you.

I am also trying to find out what form of sustainable resource management program that is/is not being implemented.

Edit: I will read all of those source documents as well. Thank you.
