Nope, there isn't currently an SMS interface to the Mahalo Answers service. I believe @jasoncalacanis said that he feels people want better, more in-depth answers to most questions, so SMS wasn't a great idea. There's always ChaCha for SMS questions.
You could, however, use Twitter to submit the question (and Twitter supports SMS)! All you have to do is sent an @reply to @answers with the question, and you'll receive answers @replied back to you. All you have to do is tweet something like this:
@answers If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
…and the question "If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?" would be imported. If/when it gets answers, @answers will respond with something like this:
@your_username New A: I'd live in California because that's where all the startups are! ... http://mhlo.me/abcd
(the link will point to the Mahalo Answers page)

If you have a data plan and a smartphone, just install any Twitter client on it (there are native Twitter client for almost all smartphones), then use the method Chris stated above.
When you get a reply, just visit the link from your phone's browser and you can read the answer.
At this point of writing, I think it'd be better for Mahalo to create a mobile version of its website. Sounds helpful and is way simpler than all the Tweeting, if getting answers from Mahalo on your mobile is what you want.

It's probably not even a good idea. Answers are generally long (like the one above me), and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't even want to read it in an awfully formatted way on your phone. If you have a data plan and a smartphone, just install any Twitter client on it (there are native Twitter client for almost all smartphones), then use the method Chris stated above.
