Can a High School Student be a teacher's aide?

I am a Sr. and I want to be an English teacher. I would like to practice teaching a class but am not sure if students are allowed to be teacher aides.

I think it depends the school districts and the principals. When I was a student, it was allowed. It was counted as an elective. Eight years later, when my brothers went to the same high school, students were not allowed to be teacher aides.

In my highschool it was an elective to be a TA you wouldn't be able to grad tests or anything but you could help with lessons, running teacher errands and things like that...It may vary from school to school...Good luck. I love English definetly a fun subject.

yes,i don't think so there is any problem in this kind of assist.but generally schools don't allow this because one teacher is enough to handle a class and you should try outside the school in some teaching institute and then join school as a teacher not like a assistant.

offcourse... why not... I would suggest actually asking the school itself though as they might have some different things you may or may not do depending on what school system / city you are in... definitley would not ask mahalo here because it probably varies from each school.
