I have used TurboTax for the last 5 years and I absolutely love it. Very easy to use and have never had an issue (knock on wood). I do not know anything about Taxcut, so I can't answer that part.
I like TaxCut. TurboTax just raised their price and terms of service for the newest version; so you may want to check and make sure it still works for you. I think it's mostly related to how many tax returns you prepare, if just one, no problem, otherwise you need to pay extra.
TaxAct. I have used it for the last five years and it always generates a better refund than any other program I have looked at. Ease of use, ease of installation, excellent tips when you are actually filling in the forms; federal and state versions available.

I used Turbo Tax once about 10 years ago. The next year I decided to use TaxCut, and I actually liked the interview format better in TaxCut...so I have been using TaxCut ever since. It is also cheaper than Turbo Tax and is able to import from various other financial software just like Turbo Tax. TaxCut also comes with DeductionPro software that makes itemizing charitable donations a breeze.
I have not used TaxCut, but I've been using TurboTax for the past few years. I like it, partially because it's all online with no software to install. Convenient, and it saves my info for next year.
I have not used TurboTax, but I have used TaxCut 2 years in a row and have had no problems. I don't have a very complex tax return though.
I have used Tax Cut once in the last 10 years and TurboTax 9 times in the same period.
