Many phones have the option to move contacts to the memory / SIM card.
After the contacts are stored on the card, you can insert the card into a memory card reader connected to your computer and retrieve the contacts.

M$If you're using a Blackberry, Palm, or Windows Mobile device, you should be able to transfer the contacts using the software that came with the phone.
If you're not using a smartphone, check out bitpim (http://www.bitpim.org/). It should be able to transfer the data off of most Verizon Phones.

That might work. I was really looking for a free option, but if I can't figure it out I might go to a verizon store and ask them if they can do it for cheaper than what buying a micro sd card would cost..
It looks like that phone takes MicroSD. You should be able to move the contacts onto a MicroSD card and move them onto your computer.
The phone also has Bluetooth. Can you configure bluetooth to pair with your computer and sync the contacts that way?
Verizon phones don't use sim cards. The model number is SMT5800VW.
