Swords, Guns, and Magic - What's your favorite weapon in an RPG?
-Game title
-System it was released on(if PC, please specify)
-Favorite weapon
-Reasons for it being your favorite
NOTE: if you are referring to an item that is creatable but not found in the game normally, please specify with instructions on how to make it. I'm hoping to build the game questions of Mahalo Answers up into a nice little database of detailed information.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It was the first game with a truly signature weapon.

Fight Club
I like it because it's a club. You fight with it. Why are you asking? The first rule of Fight Club is to not talk about Fight Club... So why am I talking about it?
Oh, it drops in the Scarlet Monastery

M$-System it was released on: PS3
-Favorite weapon: Scout's Sniper Rifle on Multiplayer
-Reasons for it being your favorite: It's by far the cheapest thing in the game as you can cloak as a scout. The reason why I love it so much is because of the SIXAXIS use, you have to be steady and it feels like a real gun.

M$System it was released on: PC, XBOX 360, PS3

Reason for it being my favorite: It's a bite sized nuclear bomb. Need I say more?

M$However I'm leaving the quote.
I think Han Solo said it best:
"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid."

M$it's about any RPG, not just the computer-based ones. I asked that people specify if it is PC, as some PC RPGs(Arcanum, World of Warcraft) can't be played on a console. It's for ease of finding the game if you are interested in it after reading this question.
Also, you can talk about pen-and-paper RPGs - Dungeons and Dragons is applicable to this question, you'd just say it's a "tabletop" game where it asks for the system. Hope that helps!
I really liked this answer - I remember myself that Doom pretty much invented the FPS genre, and it gave it its most distinctive characteristic that would pull forward into almost every other FPS released since: a massively overpowered weapon that used tons of ammo, which was difficult to find for it. Thanks for the answer, ensorceled!
