Still listening to Maxwell.. does he sound like DeAngelo to anyone else or is it just me?

He and D'angelo somewhat have the same kind of tone but there styles are different. In order to get the sound that D'angelo has he sings more from the throat while Maxwell sings more from the diaphragm. They are both very good artist unfortunately D'angelo will most like not be coming out with any new music soon. I hope he does because he is a great artist. Maxwell's new cd I think is pretty good but because of the new styling it takes some time to get used to. I would recommend Pretty Wings and Fistful of Tears off of this album.
