Fisher, however, did get a suspension for his play. When he lowered his shoulder and bowled over Luis Scola, that was outside the bounds and he got a one game suspension for it.

Will Fisher and Kobe get suspensions for their shamefully dirty play? I'd love to see the NBA come down on both but am sure Kobe will walk.

Well, it's basically as you thought it would be. Kobe avoided getting suspended (though he did still get a flagrant foul) for elbowing Ron Artest. The rule is that if you elbow somebody in the neck or above, you get an automatic suspension for (typically) one game. After reviewing the play, the league decided that Kobe hit Artest in the chest rather than the head or neck, so he didn't get the suspension.
