Why is it the 1989 World Series is never mentioned?

I'm not sure what you mean by "Never Mentioned." Do you mean that commentators rarely bring up the series? Most World Series that are 20 years old don't get mentioned very often in the media. Is there a bigger issue you're referring to?

I remember that series vividly, as I grew up in the Bay Area - as well as the Earthquake that interrupted it.
