Shane Battier currently plays for Houston Rockets as Small Forward. He wears jersey #31.He was drafted 6th by Vancouver Grizzlies from Duke. He played for Memphis between 2001-2006 before moving to Houston Rockets.
He was born on September 9, 1978. He is 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m) tall and weigh 220 lb (100 kg).

Couple of his achievements:
- Mr. Basketball of Michigan (1997)
- 1997 Naismith Prep Player of the Year
- 2001 Oscar Robertson Trophy
- NCAA Basketball Tournament Most Outstanding Player
