I have been skiing at Snow Basin many times several years ago and Bogus Basin only once and that was at night and both places are very nice. I never was able to go to the more challenging areas at Bogus but I found the runs that were lit were very nice and we had a lot of fun. The character of Snow Basin seemed much different. The runs that I remember were narrower and sometimes seemed to end awkwardly like at a cat track. Snow Basin did seem to have more challenging runs on the upper mountain.

The mountains of the west far outshine the hills of the east and I much prefer to ski on snow and powder rather than ice.

Well, While the Rockies are fine, the best challenge is in the mountains of the East for Skiing. :)

Utah Brings some nice dry "champagne" snow. Not sure about Idaho, never skied it before. I say ski Colorado, good snow, lots of resorts in close proximity, big diversity!
