Randy Johnson played for the Diamondback last season. He signed with San Francisco as a free agent. It was a 1-year deal.

He left Arizona the first time after the 2004 season. He then pitched for the Yankees in 2005 and 2006, returning to Arizona, where he pitched in 2007 and 2008.
