Val Venis.
In the early parts of 1999, Ken Shamrock was irate at Val Venis because Venis had taken a liking to Shamrock's sister Ryan. The two decided to settle their score inside the ring, and Billy Gunn was the special guest referee. Gunn began making questionable calls on both sides, but Shamrock shoved Gunn in frustration. Gunn knocked him down and Venis scored the opportunistic pin for the title.
