How many Division I football athletes are there each year and how many make them pros?

I'mlooking for basic census stats for the major collegiate sports and the percentage of athletes that turn pro.

While I wasn't able to find exact stats for Division 1 football athletes, I was able to come across this article that states that only 1% of all college athletes actually go on to play professionally in their sport.
