These are the reasons I think Gordon Strachan resigned as manager of Celtic football club in Scotland.

1) Strachan was given a lack of money by the Celtic board.
2) Strachan never managed to succeed in European competitions with Celtic.
3) Strachan is rumoured to want to manage again in the larger and more prestigious English premiership.
4) Strachan has struggled to get on with the Celtic fans in his years at the club
5) Strachan has had a highly publicised and recent difference of opinion with star player Aiden McGeady, in which he wasn't backed by fans or the board
6) Strachan was extremely disappointed that Celtic lost the Scottish Premiership title to Rangers. Strachan's Celtic had won this three years in a row previously.
