The BROAD STREET RUN in Philadelphia benefits the American Cancer Society.
It was in the national news a couple years ago when Robert Massaroni, a 29 year old social studies teacher at Robert Shafer Middle School, tragically passed away after finishing the 2007 Blue Cross Broad Street Run with a group of 60 students from Shafer Middle School.
It is a very well organized and supported event.
I could not be there.
