Personally, life cannot be defined until one knows the true meaning behind the creation of the universe. Many may say the "Big Bang" created that universe, but what created that first atom that made the bang? Was it God?
Personally, as I am religious, I think that life has been created so that living things can enjoy the worlds in our universe. Of course our world is not the only place in our universe who has life. It may be more developed but we cannot say it is the ONLY life that exists.
Take Mars for an example with the sightings of water on the planet. Life must have existed millions of years ago.

Its kinda like what they say in the Matrix... the life we're living here is really a dream state, and the "wake-up" time is when you die!

Evolutionary point of view - Life is all about organisms evolving and competing against one another for dominance. Individual lives are inconsequential, only existing to help reproduce and evolve.
Religious point of view - We are here because of one or more divine, and most likely omnipotent beings. For the most part, different religions believe their deities wish us to be the best people we can be and to worship them. Mainly, the main purpose of life, is to prepare us for the next life, which is supposedly much better than this one.
Hope this helps.

Life is all about finding the truth of this false world say materialistic world and to surrender your body and soul in the service of god.
To attain the spiritual heights without it life has no meaning. It is complete wastage of your time on Earth.

This is one of the questions, one cannot have a correct answer. When you think about it carefully, it is hard to actually think of an answer. Personally, life cannot be defined until one knows the true meaning behind the creation of the universe. I believe the real purpose of life on earth is to go back to the heavens (or hell - depends where u came from in the 1st place)... Its kinda like what they say in the Matrix... the life we're living here is really a dream state, and the "wake-up" time is when you die!

From my perspective, there are two main points of view on this matter, evolutionary and religious. However, since you put it in the religion part of Mahalo I assume you want the religious view, but I'll give both anyway.
Hope this helps.

To serve the humanity and to purify your soul while doing the same. I think that is the true service of god as well. Life is all about finding the truth of this false world say materialistic world and to surrender your body and soul in the service of god.
To attain the spiritual heights without it life has no meaning. It is complete wastage of your time on Earth.
