Garlic. I'm certain the Antichrist doesn't like it.
Furthermore, I am certain they belong to a website called "Garlic Haters Unite" on webmaster-talk, where they are currently growing a small army, under the name 'angele803'. Obviously, this person thinks they are anointed by God with a name like that. Obviously. Second, this person obviously has a political agenda. I know "Garlic Haters Unite" seems like an innocuous movement, but this is what makes it so sly and subtle. It is just this kind of oversight that allows the Antichrist to sneak into our lives and gain a foothold. Furthermore, the mere presence of angele803's sinister pursuit ON THE INTERNET proves that the time of the Antichrist is at hand! We know that apart from setting up the Antichist's kingdom in the political world, and establishing a religious title, the Antichrist will also take advantage of the commercial world. The only thing standing between the Antichrist and supreme reign is the ability to be free of the restraints of the Holy Spirit, blessed upon us by the miracle plant Garlic. Yes, it smells, but it serves a far more fundamental purpose. Adam and Eve couldn't figure it out in the Garden of Eden either, but we have the benefit of Jesus at the Last Supper having eaten it on his bread with butter before he broke it. One of his faithful disciples recorded Jesus's words regarding it's true power. It was smuggled away to Spain, eventually arriving in Mexico, on a rather dry tortilla that was passed down through several generations before arriving at the Vatican for its preservation. It resides there in secret to this day. I cannot tell you how I know this, as it is too precious and dangerous to divulge. Anyway...DO NOT LET THE ANTICHRIST SWAY YOU. We must continue to eat garlic, and secretly keep cloves of it in our pocket if we are to save the world from itself. Many will believe falsely, but we will be there to awaken them with our cooking. Go in peace.

From the earliest epoch, it is known that the cycle of time plays a crucial factor in the coming-to-be of such personalities. There has always been a great event (historical and/or symbolical) to mark these cycles.
As is evident from the reading of most scriptures, there are certain events that should come to pass before the Anit-Christ... and since those haven't happened yet, we can assume that this person won't be coming around till they do.
That's my belief... let me do some more research, and I'll get back to you with stats (hopefully)!

Therefore I think Jason has done the world a service by delaying, if not entirely preventing, the Apocalypse.
However some people might think that is not actually a good thing, and that God's plan for the world is thereby being thwarted.
Which leads me to suspect that quite possibly, unbeknown even to himself, Jason is himself the Anti-Christ.
He is also undoubtedly addicted to Mahalo Answers himself, which I think is highly significant. Quite possibly it is his deeper plan to create a highly addictive site in order to distract himself from his core purpose for being, thereby delaying or entirely defeating God's plan.
His fiendish cunning clearly knows no bounds and surpasses all human understanding!

What is restraining him or her? In my opinion--time. If you are a pre-tribulation adherent like my self (meaning that the "church" will be raptured to Heaven before the 7 year tribulation), then you realize two things:
1.) There is no indicator to the rapture. It happens, as Jesus said, like a thief in the night. We do not know when it happens, and there are no warning signals to let everyone know.
2.) There are indicators to the Second Coming of the Lord (when he sets His new headquarters out of the new earth). One of those indicators is the unveiling of the Anti-Christ. This man or woman actually rises to power because of their ability to create a false-peace in the middle east. In fact, according to prophecy, he doesn't start wreaking havoc on earth until the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation. Hope this helps some.

The anti-christ would make a move to gain some power, and be bewildered by the lack of intelligence of some people.. then he/ she would realize.. why would i want to control a buncha stupid people?!

Anyway a more serious answer, I think that if the Anti-christ is reborn on earth, he could aleady be in some sort of power. Take a look at leaders around the world.. of Cults, Countries, Rebellions. Look at some of the stuff they have done.. whats to say hes not aleady here and slowly working his way up?
Of coarse first he has to rise above the other lunatics thriving to gain power.
To much evil fighting for the same thing = start to fight each other = normal / good people dont even notice.

If you believe an antichrist is living on Earth right now, what do you think is restraining this person from taking over the world?
In addition, if you believe in such a entity, then if this person is a mature adult, do you think he/she is an Attorney/ Politician, Preacher, or other personal title? Humor is invited, or you can be as serious as a Gunnery Sergeant on Steroids.
In Thessalonians 2, Paul says his identity will supposedly be revealed after whatever is restraining him is removed. I think that must mainly mean an adequate enough faith in the Holy spirit by people against the negative energy to ward off his power, but I'm not sure. What do you think?

I don't think that if such a person exists, then he is being restrained by anything. Surely he (or maybe she ;) would have the power to overcome these obstacles. I think if it is true, then the only factor that could stop such a person from "taking over the world" as you put it... is time. I believe it's possible that the Anti-Christ (or other embodiment of Evil of your choice) has been distracted from their work by an addiction to Mahalo Answers. Therefore I think Jason has done the world a service by delaying, if not entirely preventing, the Apocalypse.

Actually, I think the antichrist is taking a break from destroying the world and trying to break into screenplay writing. Clearly he's got some big ideas on how things could come apart and that the disaster movie genre still has legs. I mean, 28 Days Later and I am Legend are kind of lightweight compared to what the antichrist could put on paper.

The Anti-Christ is probably walking the face of Earth right now. It would make sense for him to be a politician or an extremely well known religious figure. What is restraining him or her?
