I meditate everyday. I am a Buddhist and according to Buddhism meditation helps you to be calm and relaxed.

I have experienced it by meditating. The thing is with only meditating once you can't achieve it. You have to keep doing it and improve.

There shouldn't be a particular method to meditate. You can meditate while sleeping, sitting, walking or standing. No matter what the posture is. What you should do is to keep your mind focused on one idea.

There are different types of meditation according to Buddism,,,

one is to improve the thinking ability and wisdom. The other is to keep your mind calm and to wish the others well being.

I have done both of them and I have great results too. There shouldn't be a seperate time for you to meditate. You can spare whatever the time you want.

By meditating you can improve your thinking ability , self confidence , complexion and most importantly you will learn to love the other people and not to harm them. It is really good for your health and well being too !

Give it a try ............ I am sure of results !

I practice it daily, whenever needed, first thing morning, last thing at night. It involves concentration, relaxation and prayer all at the same time.

Why do I do it? To keep balanced, calm, and in touch with reality and life.

I don't use any method, any book, any class, any theories.

Just calm, relax, focus........

hope this helps!

Deepak Chopra is a good inspiration to those that need it.

I tried, but I just don't know how. I can't just sit still without doing a thing, it's hard to focus too. I tried because I know meditation brings all the goodness. Better health, calmer, heals anxiety and makes your mood better, and make you a better person overall.

Now only if I have the patience the give it another shot. I watched tutorials on YouTube but they didn't really help much. Whenever I start sitting still, I feel that somewhere on my body is itchy, then I scratch, and the loop continues. Focusing on nothing cause even the most minor thing to caught my attention.

I try to meditate every day I do it for certain spiritual reasons and for calming the mind and body and such.

basically if you want to learn to meditate you should first begin with just sitting cross legged and focus on your breathing and not allow any thoughts to occupy your mind its fine if they pop up but dont think about them just let them "drift" away and focus on breathing through your nose.

The style I use is just basically the same krysstel but sometimes I will also try to do kundalini and chakra type meditations.

Oh and as for your test I can do that quite simply I don't know why but clearing my mind always came easy to me even before starting meditating.

I don't know if you call it practice, but it's more of like doing yoga once in awhile to release stress. Meditation also helps when you are ill, when you clear your mind of worries, you get well faster.
Meditation may also mean having sometime alone and far away from the rest of the world, a time to be just with one's self to achieve serenity.

I currently do not paratice Meditaion. However, I was just this last week invited for a discounted price to follow a man the I just met that instructs Meditaion meetings.
Things that he explained to me about Meditaion was it reduces stress, improves sleeping habits along with relazation. He also explained to me that you can increase your self motivation and improve self awareness for the many things we would like to change within ourselves. Improve mental as well as physical health along with creativity.
I the meetings take place on Tuesday evenings and he invitied me to come along for there are many things in my life that either need changed or I simple want to change.
I found this website and I found that eveything this man told me was basiclly true. http://www.immrama.org/insight/insight.html?OVRAW=meditation&OVKEY=meditation&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=847677021&OVKWID=5055359021. So come Tuesday I might just have to go Meditate. Sounds very cool and relaxing.

It' is on going and almost natural now for me. It first began near a water fall in Washington state. Now I am more at peace with a higher level of concentration. Very seldom am I anything other than accepting of the way things are and can find humor in almost anything. Now even a squirrel going by is a reason to smile.

I've tried it and I really wanted to do it in order to reduce my stress levels.

There are many types of meditation, and I tried the one in which you just focus on your breathing. And... it didn't work that well for me. I got stressed doing it! Maybe I'll give it a try again some weeks from now.
