the first step Mr.Jagdeo would need to do is
1. unify the people by charting a new vision for the country. by 2050 the government would take the necessary measures to improve the living conditions of every citizen in the country. i.e improved educational opportunities, creating and maintaining jobs for its people, better health care, proper infrastruture etc. as the good book says (Bible) "where there is no vision, the people perish" (information taken from www.thercg.org)
2. MR.Jagdeo next step would be to improve the political relationship with Guyana and the entire Caribbean communities. Allowing its citizens to travel more freely with in the Caribbean region.
3. Seek financial aid(from developed countries) to increase the economic activities in the country
"The main economic activities in Guyana are agriculture (production of rice and Demerara sugar), bauxite mining, gold mining, timber, shrimp fishing and minerals. Chronic problems include a shortage of skilled labour and a deficient infrastructure." (this information was selected from www.wikipedia org.) by doing this Guyana can become the world leader in providing vital natural resourses for countries. they can do like a barter system. let say they go into angreement with China to provide them with minerals, rice, shrimp timber and even fresh water and the Chinese would provide them with $500,000,000 (us)dollars plus technology and help build better infrastructure. this being done Guyana would be able to provide jobs for its citizens and also improve on infrastructure and technology
4. The government would have to provide the country with a more superior education system. by doing this it would be able to modernize it workforce.
