Cuomo from January 2009, in which Judge Sotomayor ruled that the Second Amendment only applies to the federal government and not individual states or cities. According to Judge Sotomayor, it is constitutional for your state or city to ban gun ownership. However, it's worth noting that the case above involved martial arts weapons and not guns.
