Yes, but not until this summer. iPod Touch owners will pay $9.95, and, as with the first generation iPhone some functions may be restricted by hardware limitations - needing a wi-fi connection, the lack of a speaker, etc.

The iphone 3.0 OS will install (for free) on all iphones (and $10 for ipod touches) but it should be noted that not all of the features will work with the first generation iphone or first generation ipod touch.

For example the stereo bluetooth headset feature and MMS features will not operate because of differences in the cell chipset of the first iphone and other hardware limitations (lack of speaker as mentioned earlier) prevent some features from operating on the ipod touch.
