Grapher is a software program bundled with Mac OS X v10.4 and 10.5 that is able to create 2D and 3D graphs from simple and complex equations. It includes a variety of samples ranging from differential equations to 3D-rendered Toroids and Lorenz attractors. It is also capable of dealing with functions and compositions of them. One can edit the appearance of graphs by changing line colors, adding patterns to rendered surfaces, adding comments, and changing fonts and styles used to display them. Grapher is able to create animations of graphs by changing constants or rotating them in space.

Besides plotting functions, it also appears to be able to plot data sets. You do so by creating a new "Point Set" from the actions menu on the bottom left, selecting "Edit Points" from the top, and the using the "Import" function to bring in your own data.
I must admit, I've never used the application before. But it my brief investigation, it does appear to be a fairly full featured and capable application. And best of all: it's probably already on your system.

Mac OS X (Tiger and Leopard) actually comes bundled with a graphing application called Grapher. It's developed by Apple, and should be located in your "Utilities" folder. Here's the description of Grapher from Wikipedia: From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grapher

I don't have Mac PC. I like both GIMP for image editor and Inkscape for vector graphics editor. More important is that both of the software are free and available in Windows, Linux and Mac OS X too. Get it a try. I hope it will solve your issue.

When you create a new "Point Set" you are given a dialog box that allows you to enter rows and columns of data (quite similar to a spreadsheet). You can also import and export data, simplifying the process of moving data in from another source.
