Gliffy is online software with both free and paid options. It is easy to create a simple diagram and very easy to share those diagrams. As good as Gliffy is, it's still faster and sometimes more continent to use offline software for drawings.
So, Visio is one of the reasons why I have vmWare / windows installed on my Mac. I use Gliffy for small and quick things and Visio for things that are more complicated. When I pass around a Visio diagram, I need to know that folks aren't going to have a problem viewing or updating it.
Concept draw is offline and mac compatible. I haven't used it but it seems to have some good google press around it:

Of course... since you're the CTO, why not just snap a photo of your hand drawn whiteboard and have someone else transcribe it for you - j/k of course.

Other than Omnigraffle, what is a good Visio / flowchart-type program or site for the Mac?
