Is there a good, free/Open Source replacement for Adobe Illustrator?
I need something to convert .EPS files to .CS files--just to convert two small files. Not worth hundreds of dollars per file!

I have not done that myself but I would try Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org/) which is a free/open source software. You could also contact your local Kinkos/Staples/etc and find out how much is would cost to have them convert the files. Obviously, that would not be free but it may be the fastest/easiest way to convert your files.

Some of the links are good. I hoped to find someone with experience, but thanks for doing some research for me!
Thanks for the effort, but OpenOffice isn't really a replacement. And going to have someone else do it isn't practical. This is an ongoing part of my work and my husband's, and we'd rather not stoke the Adobe juggernaut.
