If you have all your songs rated, you can make a compound playlist of:
One star - song rated one star and not played in the last 8 weeks
Two start -song rated two stars and not played in the last 6 weeks
Three stars -song rated three stars and not played in the last 4 weeks
Four stars - song rated four stars and not played in the last 3 weeks
Five stars - song rated five stars and not played in the last 2 weeks
This way you don't go a long time without hearing things you really like and still get to unheard material.

How can I make a "least recently played" playlist that randomizes from across my entire iTunes library?
I have a Smart Playlist set up on iTunes with the rules "200 tracks," "least recently played," and "fewer than 3 plays." The thing is, since my library lost all its most-recently-played data some time ago, I have a lot of stuff that has "never" been played. And in the event of a tie, iTunes defaults to the songs nearest the end of the alphabet out of my 6,000-track library. So I have a whole lot of Warren Zevon, Yes, Whitesnake, The Who, and so on.
I'd like to get a bit more of a distributed selection: 200 random tracks from across my entire library. Is there any way I can modify the rules to make it do that?

• Not really what I was looking for (I don't have all my songs rated) but as the only answer I got, I might as well reward it.
