How can I get VLC and Media Player Classic to play DVDs with quality like Win Media Player and Media Center?
Tried: http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54285#p178352 and it doesn't seem to help me any. :-/

Download the full K-lite Codec Pack from this website
http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/
That has most every codec you will need amd should make you VLC optimized for even 1080p content.

I probably wasn't very clear about my question, but you've gotten me onto the right track... I think. I prefer to use FFDshow for its configurability, but it's a bit hard to get MPC and VLC to play well with DVDs and it at the same time. Thanks for your answer though.
