Does anyone know of a Mac app that will save single and dual monitor screen layouts? I hate having to rearrange my screen all the time.
Every time I plug my monitor into my laptop for a two screen setup I have to rearrange all my program layouts. I want a application/program (for mac) that will save how I have my screens set up so I can just load all the programs to the places I want automatically or a few clicks rather than dragging and resizing everything all the time. I searched around for a bit and found some resources but nothing worth while. I would prefer a free solution but if the only option is to pay for it I will.

Here is a great menu bar application that will do what you want

"Useful features include saving desktop layout, ie positions of the icons on the desktop and positions of the windows of all open applications, and restore them automatically when the resolution is changed or when you plug or unplug an external monitor."
I love me some multi-monitors. Nothing increases my productivity more. Since making the (long awaited) switch to a Mac as my primary computer, I like many others have longed for some of the software available only for Windows. Sure, I run Parallels and it's great on the go, but processing speed is frustrating day-to-day.
So, now I have not one, not two, but three monitors on my geek inspired desk. One of them controls a Windows desktop and I fly between each of them with ease using Synergy. One mouse, one keyboard, double love.
Give this a go too if you find yourself in a similar "hate windows but need it to work" scenario: http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/

This looks great but are there any other free programs out there?
