"Smiling increases your face value."
The most admirable people to me are those who are happy. People don't smile enough! When I see somebody who is constantly smiling, I know that they have their act together. They're likely in a career that they love. Even more likely: they are helping other people daily, and that joy inevitably spreads to them.
I love people who are compelled to help others, and in my opinion, that's the best that anybody can do in life. Money is a human construct and very unnatural, wheras altruism exists in nature and limits suffering in the world.
I find these strong, confident people who are willing to make sacrifices for others the happiest people on this planet. That self-actualization is something I admire.

_________
AND MOST OF ALL.. A PERSON WHO ACCEPTS THEMSELVES WHOLLY...
A person, despite being "imprfect" bcome confident.. (example, HAYLEY WILLIAMS, singer of band paramore. She does not have perfectly slender legs or body and she is not ashamed of this)
Keira Knightley has the same body type (and me as well lol) as hayley williams but she chose to be frail and painfully thin and be insecure about her pair of legs when she is beautiful the way she is. That kind of made me feel bad. Hayley williams changed it for me.
my whole life I have been insecure of the body type I have but because of her.. I have learned to accept the flaw I thought I could never accept.. I'm the only one with BIG THIGHS among my friends (I have slim body).. now I am more confident because of her ;) All this time boys would these me because of my thin frame but chunky thighs but now I don't care anymre:D
sorry for the answer.. too long

However, in general, it's a feedback effect, where you'll have some deep down feelings about how you wish you were, such that when you see someone else expressing those characteristics that you wish you had, you "admire" them.
That's the root of Hero Worship among children. The kid has some sort of instinctive sense for how he/she wishes he/she will be when grown up, such that when they see an adult expressing those characteristics, the kid develops Hero Worship, and admires that adult very much.
So... what are the characteristics? Well... that depends on you.

A person who knows what his boundaries are, the right and wrong, but still not afraid to do something less appropriate sometimes, for fun lol :D on a person:

Technically, it's a bit of a tautology to ask, and answer, because if you analyze the response, it boils down to: an admirable person is someone who is admirable... However, in general, it's a feedback effect, where you'll have some deep down feelings about how you wish you were, such that when you see someone else expressing those characteristics that you wish you had, you "admire" them.
