I think it's like a balance between good and evil, because the reality makes mankind seek for more that we already know, that's why the devil existed in Religion, because Religion is Contentment for one who believes in God.

In essence, you are asking the question "why does a benevolent and omnipotent God allow evil in the world?" This question has perplexed thinkers for centuries.

For instance, St. Augustine (346-430) argued that the infinite guilt of man deserves infinite punishments.

On the other hand, Voltaire (1694-1798) said that God created the world and the laws of science. Afterwards, He neither intervened in the lives of men nor caused natural catastrophes. Natural events in the world operated according to the laws of science. This belief is known as Deism.
