No, the silver bullet legend seems to date from the 1800's at the latest.

Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.
Why can a werewolf only be killed with a silver bullet? From where does that part of the myth originate?
The How to Become a Werewolf page mentions that a lot of the aspects of popular Hollywood werewolf myths are not necessarily based in the early history of werewolf legends. Is the silver bullet another modern-day addition? (Maybe sponsored by Coors Light? :D)
